Anna Maria Island

 

Anna Maria Island real estate sales for February increased over January's by 85% registering a total of 26 solds versus 14 for January. The overall median sold price also increased on a month to month basis with the median sold price for residential property leading the way with a 9.6% increase. The property with the lowest sale price in February was a Bradenton Beach condo at $80,325 while the highest sale price was $1,650,000 for a condo in Holmes Beach. The low end of the market continued to dominate sales in February as 22 of the 26 solds for the month went for less than $600,000. Cash buyers maintained a strong presence finding plenty of opportunities in this market with 24 of the 40 properties sold so far in 2010 being cash deals. Short Sale and Bank Owned properties have also played a role in 2010 sales with 6 short sale and 6 bank owned properties selling by the end of February this year. Looking ahead, sales should keep up their pace as 27 lisings went under contract in February.
